last after a treat. My oldest was in town for a call, and I popped home. He fixed my lint trap for my dryer, took a lawnmower battery to fix and stored his summer tires in the shed. I made a fruit/yoghurt smoothing and heated up turkey quesadillas for lunch for the 3 of us. (youngest son also...

    creative care

When I needed childcare-my best bet was to ask everyone I knew. Out of that, at different times, were 2 young adults from church, a free-lance writer who welcomed 1 day a week steady salary, the daughter of a friend. We also advertised on campus and got a foreign trained teacher for an 8 month...

and I am wearing a zebra onesie So walking between 2 schools, a deer stuck her head over the fence to look at me. I could have reached out and touched her. I lowered my head, and she backed up a few steps. I realized that was a challenge to her so dropped my hood. It was quite a remarkable moment.

    Electric cars

I have been seriously looking at a hybrid. Most days I drive 36k or less (the total k on this hybrid staying with electric) but sometimes I drive to Alberta. I would have to detour thru Kamloops at the moment to make that trip with a pure electric car. The Outlander can charge 3 ways. Standard...

Staying tuned for further updates.... and on a more serious note: Glad you are being persistent in figuring things out...

WoW. Time does pass quickly. Zach is now, in some ways, stepping out of Carter's shadow. As he lives longer than Carter, he can no longer be measured against him. Carter was much loved and celebrated in his way to short life. His road was very different, involving Drs and Hospitals, and AED's...

I make an awesome beet/carrot cake. I also have a slow cooker recipe for beets where you do peel them before cooking.

I grew up on veggies from the garden. Boil the smaller beets. Serve them for dinner. If you find the skin to thick each diner can cut open and just eat the insides. The larger beets, boil, then cool with cold water. The skins usually slide off with your fingers, and a vigorous rub.
