I got mine off kjiji for $100, it was just two years old and not much used. Like it is with all those electric machine, you either make good use for them or you don’t- and since they take up counter space, for those who don’t use them eventually sell them to make space.1979 (I now that was just yesterday!) - the year I got married (we need a little heart emoji please!)
Today has been a day of kitchen magic - baked a gingerbread loaf (with yummy cream cheese frosting!); prepping a sourdough sandwich loaf which soon will go into the oven in my new pullman pan (second time for this recipe, first time for the new pan!) Also have a cranberry pecan sourdough loaf started - it will proof overnight & be baked tomorrow Looks like that will be a good breakfast or tea time treat.
I've also tried out using a KitchenAid stand mixer today - seems luxurious compared to my old Sunbeam Mixmaster which is many decades old. After some online chat with pinga & KaytheCurler about its merits - and finding out is weighs a TON - I also talked with a good friend while on our Wednesday walk. She has a mixer & had lots of good tips to share - then showed up at my house with her mixer to lend me for a bit so I can see if we can find a place to keep one, and to try using it for making bread dough. Yup - I think we can manage it! So now I have to watch for a good sale - do you think Valentines Day might bring that? Not terribly romantic gift in the traditional sense - but as I said ... married 40 years now! LOL
Friends coming by tonight - going to teach them to play Mexican Train. Anybody else want to drop in?

While this is unfortunately the case, do not let it sway your decision on whether on or not to be with your family at this time. Your workplace will never remember whether you were there or not, but you and your family will always remember this. We hope for employers to be compassionate in such times - which makes such decisions easier. Glad that you can participate in the skype care conference. Challenging times and my heart goes with you on this journey.I have two weeks vacation left available before end of April, but my workplace is in chaos, working short already
