Wait...didn’t you say it was already known that she was at risk for a stroke? Why wouldn’t they look into that in the first place? Aren’t strokes more common than Bell’s Palsy (and don’t they rule out the common conditions first)? ...

Don't even get me started on that! When we were in Emerg yesterday they were all surprised that she was not put on blood thinners last week when she went to Emerg with atrial fibrillation. They missed the stroke on the CT yesterday morning. We've been talking about that a lot. How many pairs of eyes would have seen that? The Emerg doc? A radiologist? A nurse? Who knows. It is pretty negligent to have missed that. We have to wonder though how things might have played out of they had given blood thinners last week. We're thinking this was a pretty preventable stroke.

Strokes don’t always show up o the first CT, that’s why you have a second one later or best an MRI. That’s what’s done at our hospital.

Advice, LAST people. I had been pretty committed that Luce and I would attend a "reactive dog" course starting in Feb. Bit expensive. $275 for 6 sessions. But she's awful, but she's also 9. She has no dog friends left, they all died, and life would be a lot easier if she could "be" in the world without wanting to "eat it".

But I've just dropped 4500 on the plumbing around here. Is dog training, esp of such an old dog, something I should go without?

Whew! I did believe at first she was talking about this Luce one! There is the arch one and then the alternate as a dark mystery created multitudes of metaphors .... many of them independently made people ... not necessarily made of loving passions ... but the other kind of flames ...

Kohl off and process the thought ... as we do live in a real of chaos. Will it even settle in to deeps? Some sage said that the "spirit of the thing floated above the deeps"!

Isn't that a profound iteration? Still just a pile of hated words ... Trump even hates to listen about anti mon archy talk ... stuff that could humble his greatness as a gross MS placement?

But, alas you are not to say that straight out ... like Luce ... let us eat and drink and find what is immanent in the sustenance ...

Immanant: existing or operating within; inherent.

If one holds a theory within without proper data ... will the theory go to sleeping dogs? It incarnates as inherent in conflicted sol ...

On top of that as an initiative blast ... that authority will unlikely admits that they are wrong or even that there are wrongs in their world ... an internalized thing without digestive forces! Thus phorces and Porsha ... nordic transports ... thus the Sha' creeps ... brings up the whole article of endogeneity again ... the internal devising of data into what you wish to accept as immanent!

The integral idealism is extensively questionable in epistemology! Alternately some will declare the question as a lie to add calumnity!

Enter Jane from back stage ...

When the wind is blowing it doesn't matter if if it is dry or wet, it cuts through you...I haven't checked our temp yet

OMG - sounds so cold in some places. It's mild here at the moment - and raining. Very heavy rain & falling temps forecasted this afternoon - with a lot of freezing rain just north of us - I sure hope it stays a bit north as we have to go into the city to a funeral this afternoon - hoping for safe driving. Thinking of all those who may be badly affected by the weather today.

Drive safe

@Northwind - so sorry to hear about your sister's recent stroke & frustrations with care & diagnosis. Hoping she will have a swift and uneventful recovery, now better diagnosed. That underlying thyroid issue is of concern for sure & hopefully the cardiac issue will settle as that is addressed.

We asked the neurologist about that because his body language suggested they should have caught it. It was showing on the first CT.

Her heart has settled into normal now. Her thyroid is being addressed. We were told that the strokes often happen when the heart rate returns to normal. Which is pretty much what happened we think. We understand the reasons why that happens as the people at thia hospital have been amazing at explaining things. She had an assessment by a physio and OT yesterday. it was good to see them in action even though some of her responses were concerning. She's in good hands now.

It's a dreary day here. We saw some snow on the top of the mountain road yesterday. It wasn't enough to affect the driving thankfully as we are doing the trip daily these days.

NS has +13 and ongoing rain until it will turn into freezing rain tomorrow morning and lasting until late afternoon.
Time for reading and sewing ( unless the power goes out.
