and for the record it was a pension plan employee not a government employee-and he did check with their legal dept.

Yesterday, I posted this on my Facebook feed, because I thought it was kind of neat: There may be a ton of snow out there, but I just went to the garden to pick kale to put in my soup. But what I didn't post was: It wasn't pretty --- me trudging through the snow and then shovelling and shovelling to find the kale. I love eating garden produce, so garden produce in November is a plus! I think I'll pick more today...

On a local FB page someone posted that kale is good with olive oil from a warm climate ... makes it easier to scrape into the garbage ... I just don't know as ... I can't remember eating it. Demented I guess ... guessing is all mortals can do wit limited knowledge!

Tis something to get beyond when a blast of light hit syah ... imagine buried in a field of snow ... what a Job!

Good morning! Coffee and tea and other nice hot beverages are ready! Help yourself.

Today id a godde Dei to stay inside ... a within alternate instead of taking the body without!

The things you can state to maintain the unknown idealisms ... of not wishing to know nothing ... as the POTUS stated!

One must read into unknowns ... weird pastime for those that don't read creating Black Holes amongst the illuminati for amusement ...

Think of it as keeping it in a natural fridge. :D

Good morning, Red.
Weather in NS is around zero degrees and after heavy rain over night it is now turning to snow. I can hear emergency sirens going by. Good to be able to stay inside. Still have to work on the gift for my sisters family ( the parcel with all the Canadian info and things. Trying to find videos about all provinces. Already have music and recipes downloaded on the stick. Mendella‘s music videos are a good inspiration, will add some Choir choir choir videos as well. Hope to be done by Friday to get it on the way. I added some dulse, Neufoundland chocolates, a marshmallow snowman tree ornament, ugly Christmas sweater fridge magnets, candy canes, maple treats and a little bag with native art motive in the parcel.

Mrs.Anteater - that gift sounds great!
There are so many Provinces! I am searching for tourism youtube videos or anything that gives a neat impression in a few minutes. There are a lot of bloggers out there who like to talk on and on, putting themselves in scene rather than saying something about the Province.

It hasn’t stopped snowing yet, kind of a snowy rain. Hope it will not turn into ice. A friend is going to pick up a box of food at the local school for me today- a fundraiser for the school band in cooperation with a local farm. Box contains potatoes, carrots, brussel sprouts, popcorn, red cabbage, apples and onions. 17 lbs for $38, fresh from the farm.

I noticed my phone said it was -6. That means it must have gotten down to that overnight. Now that it has updated, it's about 2. It was a good night for sleeping and the morning is starting off clear and sunny.

We have -5, which is pretty good for this time of year. The horror is that all the residential streets in town are covered with ice from last week's thaw. Yesterday I watched some High School kids walking home very gingerly - you know how people get sort of stiff legged? I don't remember seeing that from teens before.

It was -11 last night. Kelowna-the city north of me-has a housing/shelter problem. All shelters are full and there was a homeless camp downtown. The city set up 2 alternative camping spots-in a baseball diamond, and a outlying park. No takers for the park. Setting is fenced but they are requiring campers to take down tent by 9am every morning and can't put up until 7 (when it is dark). Feels like harassment to me. The camps do have washrooms and do have daytime storage.

and the usual excuses are being spouted It is the province's job not the cities, all agencies with shelters are at full capacity, even if we found the space who would mange the program
It makes me very sad...

London is having housing struggles, too. It's been high on the city council agenda this Fall in hopes of getting something in place before we hit those kind of temps (usually January or late December before it gets that cold here). A local church was going to put up a couple big military-style tents (think M*A*S*H) with gas heat as a temporary shelter but someone sic'd the inspectors on them and it's not clear if they will be allowed to proceed or not.

Can you imagine where all these lower level citizens come from and at what cause to give certain people success of a limited edition?
