For me, the words above are special and metaphoric words, not to be thought of as words that are commonly used to name people as being concrete subjects and objects which can be weighed and measured like we can measure the idols and statues of ancient gods. In my opinion, they serve as helpful metaphors--that is, as rich figures of speech.
God! Generally speaking, is the word which those of us who speak and write English use as the name of the Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent and all-Loving Heavenly Father.
And God is described as if he is a human-like, singular masculine and supernatural being who--spiritually moved upon the waters (surrounding the Cosmos as we know it) in a state of nothing but darkness and chaos--beginning with time and LIGHT! It is believed God created everything out of NO thing, and order out of chaos.
By the way, Orthodox Jews, when they write in English they always write 'god' this way, G - d.
The - dash symbolizes immateriality and spiritual mysteries and values.
