A few people here at WC2 cry that there is no physical, tangible proof that God exists.

Ladies and gentlemen, behold the Glory Cloud...

Sorry, I give it a pass unless there is some discussion that motivates me to watch it.

The choice is all in mind ... God or Nog odds ... and if God is there things could ambiguously alter ... incarnate observation ... a mental projection of a God disturbed sol ... some God positions say that variable thoughts are the devil ... like metaphors and satyrs that may have created this enigma out of nonsense ... essence of nothing but overnight express EONs ...

The expansive are not self-contained by images of their own corrupting power ... Stone wall Jack's ON ... built a projection of reality in mind ... tis kind 've out there ...

Sometimes you have to read so deep into the bits and chits ... you loose your physical self in active go-round with the journal ... like wheals ... some salts required for sentinels ...

Look out for false imagination that appears as it never was ... that's artistic and cloudy for those instituted can't see it ... the Cloud where thoughts go ...

So, having invested 3:09 of my life into the video (which I wish I could have back), I have a question.
Where's the proof?

God's presence physically manifested in the cloud. You, er, missed that somehow?:ROFLMAO:

To be clear, the only thing I believe such "glory clouds" reveal is that some churches are dropping glitter from their ceilings to fool people. Seems people want an experience of God, and some churches are willing to manufacture one for them.

So, they actually believe they witnessed a miracle? It was obviously special effects! As if the lighting set up isn't a 'sign' of special effects being generated. Who is the preacher?

The people are caught up in the emotion of the event Cousin - the lights... the music... the smoke machines... the glory cloud! Personally, I generally avoid church services done in the dark.

I would think at the most, doing stuff like that in a service, would be symbolic, only. Nevertheless, tacky. But not taken as a real sign of anything except that there are special effects.

All excited over nothing ... when nothing can't exist ... as most can't conceive of it without sucking up a lot of star dust ... is that conceivable nuance of shiny dirt? Think about it ...

Experiencing the love of nothing ... and thus off we go as a rush into that which is beyond nothing ... isn't that something?

Leaves us with that inferiority complex ... and that will be simplified ... Occam?

As I recall, in the Exodus, people were sort of afraid of the cloud, and eyed it from a respectful distance. These people seem to have no hesitation to try to grab a handful of Shekinah.

How much you wanna bet they're Trump supporters?

A cloudy obtuse obstruction of what? ... We can't have that!

Haven't watched the video (I might later out of curiosity) but based on the discussion so far - I've heard of the "gold dust" phenomenon. Supposedly God is somehow manifested by "gold dust" suddenly dropping from above during worship. I even knew an ultra-charismatic United Church minister (we do have a few) who promoted it and claimed it happened in his service. I have my doubts. To me it seems tied in somehow with the prosperity gospel.

Clouds are physical and tangible proofs that clouds exist. Clouds are not physical tangible proofs that God exists.

Claiming that the cloud in your building is a manifestation of God would require some time and effort invested in proving that there was not some other explanation.

The video shows a very thin cloud. Not really a fog or a mist. Certainly not a smoke so thick that it blocked one's vision (which is overwhelmingly how the cloud of God's Glory is described.

Exodus 14: 19-20 said:
19 The angel of God who was going before the Israelite army moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from in front of them and took its place behind them. 20 It came between the army of Egypt and the army of Israel. And so the cloud was there with the darkness, and it lit up the night; one did not come near the other all night.

Doubtful a thin cloud with some glitter could have accomplished that.

Exodus 24: 16-18 said:
16 The glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days; on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the cloud. 17 Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel. 18 Moses entered the cloud, and went up on the mountain. Moses was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.

The cloud in the video in no way resembles anything at all like this cloud is described to be.

Exodus 40: 34-35 said:
34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Somehow God's Cloud of Glory keeps Moses out of the Tabernacle while it only appears inside of a modern sanctuary after the service has started and is underway. Nothing fishy about that at all.

The Pastor in the video is Pastor Bill Johnson. He is the Pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, California as his father was before him. He is Pentecostal and has been influenced both by John Wimber's Vineyard movement and the Toronto Blessing (which started as a Vineyard location and later disaffiliated when Vineyard expressed concerns about the practices of the current leadership).

Apparently, Bethel Church (Where Johnson ministers) claims that they are at the spearhead of the New Apostolic Reformation movement which is hoping to add another branch to the Christian family tree alongside Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Reformation Christianity. This new branch will be decidedly Pentecostal. C. Peter Wagner is credited with the name which is often abbreviated to NAR.
