Hi,
Not likely.

I have been much benefitted by wrestling with language I could not comprehend at first glance. I regularly read Martin Heidegger’s “On the Way to Language”, struggling to gain some insight specific to his intended meaning. That is who I am, a struggler in the way of meaning and purpose.
Donald Trump is near the centre of attention for the masses, who prefer distraction and diversion to critical inquiry and responsible action. I notice this only peripherally. At the centre of my attention is the voice of truth beckoning “follow me”. Singing as I journey - “Though none go with me, still I will follow.” All of a sudden Socrates comes to mind. As does Jesus.

We need not struggle with language for struggle's sake.I have been much benefitted by wrestling with language I could not comprehend at first glance. Looking around, I don't see WC2 as a big Heidegger and Foucault crowd.
I don't dislike you, I just can't understand a good chunk of what you write. That written, you have as much right to your writing style as Luce has to his. I just end up skipping a lot of both of your posts.
Who are Heidegger and Foucault?
I think it did have a statistically significant role. It cemented right wing news followers into following only that...it changed people's capacity to respect proper journalism. At least a few members here believed the crap enough to be "red pilled" - they idolize Trump and still tow the Fox/ Breitbart line and take in all the ugly memes - and if they had been American they would have voted for him without question.I actually agree with PG-13. I too question the effectiveness of "Russian meddling via facebook accounts" for having any sort of statistically significant role in voting irregularities. For that, you need look no further than congressional "gerrymandering" of voting districts, unduly onerous ID laws and the vulnerability of electronic voting to fraud. Oh, and the wyrdness of the Electoral College, which, no matter what it was set up to accomplish, just does wyrd things.
